WINNERS!!

Week 16 will be worth $1,535.00 to a single winner

We have winners! And boy, do we have winners. Five to be exact. Congratulations to Cashcows, Kenjomatic, Little E, T-Money and Ben Jamin. Thankfully, for all those winners, the total pot size of $4,605.00 was large enough to provide a nice payout of $921.00 per Pooler. And right before Christmas. Perfect timing!

Unfortunately, with the Philadelphia loss in the closing seconds, Blitzburg, Existential Dread, Texman and AzHawks fell out of the money. Sorry guys!! Being an Eagles fan I sorta feel you pain. Not financially, of course.

Week 15 wasn’t particularly difficult. There were a few Pool upsets such as the Division II and Division III College Championships. On the NFL side, Green Bay was a pretty big disappointment, as was Atlanta losing to one time winner, Carolina. And as luck would have it, the nine winners avoided all those Pool upsets. I say luck, but all nine will tell you it was purely skillful selections.

The Pick 1 Winner and Loser Pools are coming down to an exciting finish. Of the 11 Poolers participating in Week 15 of the Winner Pool, only one was eliminated with their selection of Green Bay. Texman, is still without a loss, and if the season ended today, would be declared the winner based on the tie-breaker.

The Pick 1 Loser Pool is quite similar, but with fewer players. 5 entered the week making picks. And all 5 survived to make picks in Week 16. Another similarity is that The Roomba also has zero red marks. So he would be declared the winner if the season ended today.

A few tears ago I started a policy, with 3 weeks remaining, not to publish anyone’s picks in these 2 pools until all of the Poolers picks have been received. When I do get them, I will highlight your alias in yellow so that you know I have it. Once all the Poolers alias’s are received, I will publish them.

In the Accumulative Pool, Golfboy seems to have some magic as he continues to hold a sizable 3 win lead over 2nd place Mwex10 and Packer Backer. Golfboy’s 112 wins averages almost 7.5 wins per week. Quite a sustained accomplishment.

If the Accumulative Pool were to end today, obviously Golfboy would win 1st place money. Mwex10 and Packer Backer, although they tied for 2nd, will split 2nd and 3rd place money.

One game behind them are Big Ol’ Ditka and Gator Dragon.

As with the Winner and Loser Pools, I am going to hold back publishing the picks of these 5 Poolers plus Corn Cob Rob and scodog (they are real close as well), until all 7 have submitted them to me. This will continue over the remaining 3 weeks, and the alias’s may change each week based on movement up or down in this Pool.

Week 16 only contains 6 college games. And I was pushing my envelop to include 2 or 3 of those games. The Pick 10 is not a whole lot of fun if there are favorites with spreads of 10 or 15 points. No one, especially me, wants 308 winners. So with only a handful of Bowl games this weeks, there just wasn’t games to fill out the typical Pool number of 25. This is nothing new, It happens at the end of every year.
