Pick 10 Football Pool

Week 2 Recap

WE HAVE WINNERS!!!. . .

Week 3 will be worth $1,730.00 to a single winner .

Week 2 Wrap-Up (Composed Before I Turn Into a Pumpkin 🎃)

I’m getting a jump on this week’s update since tonight’s second game won’t wrap until around midnight. If I wait until then to start writing, I may just morph into a pumpkin before I’m done. So here’s a rough draft—I’ll fine-tune it in the morning once the dust settles.

🏆 Monday Night Spotlight

Congrats to The Car, Hokiebeast, MAC, and paulie—the four Poolers who entered Monday’s doubleheader with a perfect 10-0 record. If they remain the only ones to hit 10 wins, each will walk away with a tidy $383.00.

But don’t count your winnings just yet. Heading into the Chargers–Raiders game, we’ve got a pack of 9-0 contenders: Gator Dragon, Deception27, BEDAM, Win or Booze, Show Me Your TD’s, MamaBear_4739, MagicMan, dwex, and Angry Kittens. All of them picked the Chargers in tonight’s second game. If the Bolts pull it off, the 13 winners will split the pot at $118.00 each.

And a very special mention to dwex on his 2nd win of this young season. 16 more weeks to go for perfection.

📉 Week 2 Woes

This week was trickier than last. Some of the more popular losing picks included:

•           Pittsburgh_U: 119 losses

•           The real Pittsburgh: 104 losses

•           Minnesota: 110 losses

•           Kansas City: 107 losses

The biggest surprise? The Chosen One. The Eagles were picked nearly 2-to-1 over the Chiefs. I expected a much tighter spread there.

👋 Farewell to a Few

After just two weeks, we say goodbye to DPHQ and GoBigRed33-2 in the Pick 1 Winner Pool—two losses in two weeks is quite the feat.

In the Pick 1 Loser Pool, The PigMan-2 becomes our first and only elimination so far.

Reminder: once you’ve racked up two losses in either of these Pools, you’re out. No need to submit picks for those Pools anymore.

📂 Housekeeping Notes

All picks are posted for public viewing at pick10footballpool.com/downloads. Before submitting, double-check the Weekly Picks 2025 workbook to avoid reusing a team—that’s an automatic loss.

I’ll share an update on the Accumulative Pool tomorrow. At this point, it’s just a jumble of big and small numbers. Trust me, it’ll all look different by Week 18.

🏈 UPDATE: Accumulative Pool Standings After Week 2
Now that the dust has settled on Week 2, it’s time for a quick look at the Accumulative Pool standings.

With wins in both Week 1 and Week 2, dwex stands alone in 1st place. Hot on their heels, we’ve got a six-way tie for 2nd place: Angry Kittens, Baarty Party, Car, Gator Dragon, MAC, and Paulie.

Of course, with 16 weeks still to go, these standings are bound to shift—probably more than once. But just for fun: if the season ended today, those tied for 2nd would split the combined 2nd and 3rd place prize money. Some may think that’s a sweet deal… others might be eyeing that solo 2nd spot with a bit more ambition.

📧 Confirmation Glitch Fix (Hopefully)

One of the ongoing frustrations is that several of you aren’t receiving your pick confirmations. It may be due to the email address I’m required to use. This week, I’ll try sending a second confirmation from a more common email account. If it works, you may start seeing two identical confirmations going forward. No need to compare them—they’ll be exactly the same.

If you’re not already following the Pool on X (formerly Twitter), now’s a great time to jump in. The handle is @pick10football. It’s a great way to stay updated throughout the weekend.

Week 3 is nearly here. Pick well, play smart, and may your team not fumble at the goal line.
