What a kickoff to the season! Week 1 wrapped up with a bang—and we had 2 Poolers who ALMOST nailed a perfect 10-0 record.
Breakdown
At the start of The Chosen One game between Denver and Kansas City showdown on Monday Night Football, agillyhuh and MstChief17 were sitting pretty at 9-0. All they needed was a Denver victory to claim $820 each. But alas, it wasn’t to be. Kansas City never let up. This resulted in a Week 1 ROLLOVER.
18 Poolers did finish the week by going 9-1. Quite an effort considering the big upsets. Another 62 were 8-0. And we also had a couple with a pretty bad 3-7 record.
Upsets & Observations
Week 1 wasn’t too tricky overall, but we did see a few major surprises:
• College upset: Oklahoma lost to Michigan, which caught 156 Poolers off guard.
• NFL shocker: The Chargers loss to the Cardinals placed a blemish on 297 Poolers—Sunday’s biggest shake-up.

Being the first week of the season there really isn’t much to report in the Accumulative Pool yet, other than an 18 way tie for first place. But stay tuned!
