Week 7 Recap – Pick 10 Football Pool
This Pick 10 Pool continues to be one wild ride. Week 1 saw 14 winners. Week 2, 13. Then things got weird: Week 3 had just 1 winner, Week 4 had 2, Week 5 had none, and Week 6 bounced back with 1. Enter Week 7—where heading into the Monday Night Football doubleheader, we faced the possibility of either 1 winner… or 9… or 42.
Week 7 kicked off with a disaster on Thursday night. For the third straight TNF game, a major upset wiped out 90 Poolers before the weekend even began. From there, the favorites mostly held serve—except for one oddity: Washington was somehow favored over Dallas. Go figure.
Detroit and Seattle, both heavily favored, cruised past Tampa Bay and Houston, sealing the deal on Monday night. And just like that, 42 Poolers split the $1,530 pot. That’s $36 each—roughly the cost of a venti pumpkin spice latte and a cake pop. Hey, it’s all about perspective.

📊 For context: the average number of winners per week over the first six weeks was 6.54. Week 7 blew that away with an average of 8.17 wins per Pooler.
In the other Pools, eliminations were minimal—almost nonexistent.
