ROLLOVER!!!!
Week 6 will be worth $3,060.00 to a singe winner
I don’t even know where to begin. Week 5 was one of the goofiest I’ve seen in over 30 years of running this Pool.
Upsets are part of the game, sure—but this week was next-level. Take the Sam Houston vs. New Mexico State matchup: 5 Poolers picked Sam Houston, 4 went with NM State. Minor chaos. But still a Pool upset.
Then came Buffalo vs. New England. A whopping 281 Poolers backed Buffalo. Just 2 brave souls picked New England—and as we now know, Fugazi and mstcoasty are clearly clairvoyant.
One upset? Not unusual. But 10 out of 14 NFL Week 5 games were considered upsets based on your picks. That’s wild. Just look at the numbers:
• Eagles: 178 picks
• Cardinals: 267 picks
• Chargers: 131 picks
• Seattle: 222 picks
• Kansas City: 174 picks
No wonder we had a rollover. But hey, that’s the magic of Pick 10—instant wealth born from collective chaos.
Let’s talk averages:
• Weeks 1 and 2: over 7 wins per Pooler
• Weeks 3 and 4: over 6
• Week 5: barely over 4
The top performers this week? Forbidden Donut and Tiffany with 7 wins each. HOW???
On the flip side, JAMUSA98 and Papa Smurf were nearly shut out. They couldn’t even squeeze 2 wins out of 10 picks..
In the Pick 1 Winner Pool, 295 started the week. After two losses, 59 are now eliminated.
The Pick 1 Loser Pool saw even more carnage—71 of 297 are out.
As for the Accumulative Pool, we’ve got a five-way tie for first: Bluto2me, Car, CornCobRob, GauxGaux, and Kazamatic all sit at 38 wins. If the season ended today, they’d split 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place money. Seven others are just one win behind at 37, and another 17 are one game behind them. This is as tight a race as I can remember.
That’s it for Week 5. Double the money is up for grabs this week—so dig in and do some constructive research.
